No, this is not me, at least not yet. But ask anyone I know and they will tell you that I love keeping in touch with my friends. And it's true - I really do. I may not be the best at it (now that I have kids and am scrambling to keep up with our busy schedule), but I do try to keep in touch with my friends near and far.
I have a couple of quotes that I always think of when it comes to friends:
- Strangers are friends you have yet to meet.
- Friends are angels in disguise.
- A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out.
Tonight as I was trolling the web again I read some great articles about friendship and their worth in the NY Times. If you have time I highly recommend reading these articles.
"What Are Friends For?"
Reading Writing 'Rrithmetic and Relationships
Coping with Crises Close to Someone Else's Heart - this article is a little different, but I liked the author's exploration of why some friends disappear when you go through trials and hard times.
A New Risk Factor Your Social Life
Okay, that's all for now. Time to get everyone to bed for the night. Enjoy the solstice!
I might have a bit of an addiction to skincare, great food, amazing books and all other things that makes life a better place. Here are some of my favorite things! Enjoy.
